The advantage of Google Hangouts is that the process uses everyone's web camera when they are on the call, so you can see a video of everyone, which is a nice touch. All the hangout videos can be saved and sent to YouTube, or played later on your website or blog. If you are participating in a Google Hangout meeting, it is nice because it is like sitting down at a table with everybody who is participating and having a chat.
