Long Island Advertising: The Do's And Don'ts That Help Linkedin Company Page

One of the biggest social media platforms in the world is LinkedIn. Often regarded as the largest networking platform for professionals, it's easy to see why Long Island advertising agencies rely heavily on it. Among the services that LinkedIn offers is the ability to create company pages, which are used to showcase businesses. To create your own company page, and ensure that it performs, follow these do's and don'ts.

When it comes to developing a LinkedIn company page, more information is always better. According to companies such as fishbat, you should fill out necessary spaces with accurate details, whether they're in regard to your business' location, the number of employees, or the logo that's used for branding purposes. If there is even a single space that's missing, it can make your company page appear amateurish. It should be as complete as possible for the best results.

Another way to get the most out of your LinkedIn company page is to keep it consistent. This is especially true if you invest time and effort in a bevy of social media platforms. If you have certain content that's posted on Facebook, for example, whatever you post on LinkedIn should either match or fall in line with it. What this does is establish your brand, allowing it to appear more consistent in the eyes of those that may be interested in doing business with you.

Now let's discuss a few things to avoid when creating and maintaining a LinkedIn company page. To start, don't forget that all types of content perform at different levels. Video may be ignored, but you'd be surprised by the amount of engagement it yields compared to text and photos. In fact, video may be your best-performing content type, depending on what your business entails. By utilizing a variety of media, your LinkedIn company page will perform better.

Another way that a LinkedIn company page can underperform if content isn't published on a consistent basis. You should, at the very least, have a few posts go out each week, even if you don't plan on updating each day. The reason for this is that it still provides your company page with fresh content, resulting in increased relevance. When a page is left alone for too long, it will lose influence, which is what business owners should avoid.
